Who I am
Hi, My name is Mieszka (mee yesh’ kah) and with a name like that, please feel free to call me Mia!
I’m a licensed Natural Medicine Clinical Facilitator in training, Licensed Social Worker, proud Army Veteran and 2x Ironman athlete. After witnessing numerous veterans struggling to navigate their new normal after traumatic or moral injury events, I left my government career to focus on helping people navigate their post-trauma world. In my talk therapy practice, I use trauma-focused therapies to help clients feel safe to examine the existential questions that arise after traumatic or moral injury events, and after experiencing the profound effects of psychedelic medicine in my own post-war mental health battle, I embraced ketamine and psilocybin as life-changing interventions for my clients.
In my daily life, triathlon is my “self-care” passion and I’m grateful to live in such a beautiful state in which to train. As an Ironman triathlete, I understand the anxiety of sports performance and the mental resilience required for endurance sports, and I am blessed to have an incredibly supportive husband who never complains about my multi-hour training sessions in the mountains or my seemingly endless quest for better gear and new bikes.
